How to get better consumer feedback on your product concepts:
🤓 Digestibility - So that your consumers can quickly understand and respond to what you're showing them, illustrate your concepts using a fidelity they can easily digest.
⚫ Focus - So that your consumers give you the feedback you need, focus your concept illustrations on the single big idea or question you want their feedback on. Don't show what you don't want discussed.
🔵🟢🟠 Continuity - So that your consumers know what to respond to, have what changes from one concept illustration to the next be only the aspects of each concept you want their feedback on. Keep everything else (illustration fidelity, page layout, views, perspective, non-unique elements of the concept, etc) consistent from concept to concept.
In concept testing, time and attention are limited, so we don't want to waste these precious consumer conversations getting feedback on the wrong things. Showing product concepts that are digestible, focused, and continuous will get you feedback where it counts.
